News
April 2012- We have just been playing a load of shows and writing and demoing new music. We are hoping to have a new album out by fall, and are feeling really good about the new songs.
January 2012- Been busy as hell playing shows and working on the new music the last few months. We will be taking a lighter load of shows this spring as we finish writing and recording a new album. We are not sure if it will be an ep or full length, but will keep everyone updated.
November 2011- With the closing of Ear X Tacy in Louisville, until an alternative is figured out our music can be purchased here. We have also begun to work on new music for an album that will be released in the spring of 2012. Many of the songs we will start playing out live through the fall and winter.
October 2011- Thanks to everyone who has seen us play over the last few months, its been great. We are going to take a little bit of time off and start working on some new music and then be back for another round.

July 2011- Playing a bunch of shows and working on new songs. If we come your way, come say hello and buy us something.
April 2011- The good press has been coming in for "Delicious" and the shows have been going well. The new five song ep can be obtained anywhere on planet earth there is an internet connection including itunes and amazon. A new low budget video that is an acoustic version of "Fool out of You" is on Youtube also. Thanks to everyone we have met, we hope to see you soon.
March 2011- The release of "Delicious" was awesome, capped off by a CD release show at Louisville's legendary Ear-X-Tacy. We have gotten some good press for the record including one from one of our faves, No Depression. We will be playing the new songs around the midwest, so if we roll into your town, we would love to see you. Thanks for everything, the Beast. xoxo
February 2011- We are very proud to announce that our brand new five song EP "Delicious" is finally available. On our Bandcamp page this week (Feb 27th-March 5th) it will be available for free download, and then for sale through local and online retailers. We have a ton of new shows posted. Check 'em out, hope to see you soon.
January 2011- "Delicious" is done, in the can and will be out sooner than you know. The deal will be on Sunday, February 2 7th the album will be available for one week for free digitially on our Bandcamp page. Then, on Saturday, March 5th,we will have our CD release party at Ear X Tacy records in Louisville, Kentucky and the record will be for sale in physical form through CD Baby, local retailers, Itunes, Amazon, Big Cartel, etc. This record has been a long time coming and we can't wait to release it to the world.

Nick Dittmeier formed Slithering Beast as a solo project after having played in a score of punk and hard rock bands for a few years beforehand with bandmate Kovarovic. They were in a band called Bodies. Dittmeier's final days with them came with a cease-and-desist order from another band with that same name.
